National Electricity Regulatory Commission confirmed this week new retail prices for gas, which are higher for 50%. Regulation comes into force (since) 1st August.

Ukraine is trying to save and increase volumes of gas transportation. The main goal now is to persuade Russia and the EU that cooperation with Ukraine is really beneficial.

Oleksandr Todiichuk, the President of Kyiv International Energy Club:
“Additional funds from increase of gas prices will bring miserable effect, if any at all. Because there is no mechanism how to make application of funds more effective, including a partial increase of these funds. It will take time, till they will increase, and non-payment problem will remain ".
